It's been a while since I've posted and a lot of stupid things have been said but one recent idiotic statement reminded me that I have this blog sitting here collecting dust.
Chris Rock spoke recently in Washington D.C. in support of President Obama's proposed gun control measures.
"I am just here to support the President of the United States," Rock said. "The President of the United States is ... our boss. ... "
Really Chris? Our boss? It may be time for a civics lesson Chris. You see, the elected officials in this grand Republic, are elected by and work for the people; it is not the other way around. The elected, including the President, are to be held accountable to the people. I was hired by my company to make day to day decisions in the best interest of the company. That does not make me the boss. We do not answer to the President.
The next Chris gets up in front of a microphone to talk politics, I hope he's joking again because when he's trying to be serious, it's sure as hell not funny.
